Turtle Travails

Turtle Travails was a group exhibition at No. 3 Pottery, Simpsonville, SC, 2024. The gallery space was in an old house with an ornate hearth and mantle that was used for the installation. In Fly Turtle the split mirror  beneath the seat of the child's chair reflects either the turtle “flying” or the viewer looking within. The framed mirror moves up and down adjusting to different viewing perspectives. Turtle Racers on the mantle above add more possiblities for movement.
